Dayroom Roof Replacement in Tamworth

Last week we worked on this flat felt roof replacement to a rear dayroom roof in Tamworth.
The roof was leaking so we were contacted by the customer to quote for a full roof replacement. The customer had already contacted another roofing company who had bodged the roof using a roofing solution and overcharged them, charging nearly as much as the full replacement.
First of all we stripped off the existing waterproofing to reveal the timber deck. There was a rotten board present so we removed it and replaced it with an 18mm OSB3 Structural Moisture Resistant Board. We then applied a 2mm torch on underlay felt followed by a 4.5mm black mineral torch on Capsheet. All edging details were also finished in the same material.
Moral of the story is to check out who you employ to do the work for you. Make sure they have the relevant qualifications and insurance and get at least 3 quotes so that you can compare.
