Industrial Felt Roof - Oil Terminal
Yesterdays job was this industrial felt roof at one of the oil storage facilities in Kingsbury.
The roof was in a terrible state and leaking. Once the work was issued to us we supplied the client with the required health and safety paperwork and arranged for the roof to be scaffolded.
We removed the loose grit covering the membrane and stripped off the damaged and perished Pour and Roll type felt. We then made the roof waterproof by torching a layer of 2mm underlay felt. This was then covered with a 4.5mm polyester cap sheet in black mineral finish and edge details to match. We also removed any rotting timber fascia and replaced it with OSB3 moisture resistant boarding. this was then covered with white Upvc Cappit board and black guttering.
This roof is covered with our manufacturers 15 year written guarantee.
