Garage Roof Replacement Tamworth

A roof replacement job we completed recently in Shuttington, just outside Tamworth.
The customer had called us it to take a look at their garage roof. It is the old type pour and roll system with 3 layers of rag based felt stuck together with oxidised bitumen topped with grit. The chipboard decking was rotten and this also required replacing. We stripped off the old roofing membranes to reveal the chipboard. We then removed the chipboard and replaced it with Structural moisture resistant OSB3 boards fixed into the joists. We then applied a 2mm torch on underlay felt followed by a 4.5mm black mineral torch on Capsheet. All edging details were also finished in the same material. All waste was removed from site and disposed off correctly.
This roofing system carries our standard 15 year manufacturers guarantee. The customer was very happy when we left the job.
We were told that they had gathered 2 other quotes off other roofers, which were 3 times the price we quoted. There seems to be several companies out there at present trying to take advantage and quoting ridiculous prices. Please make sure you get at least 3 quotes.
