Following on from another competative tender, we start the year with this flat roof refurbishment at the Shell oil terminal in Kingsbury. The weather has been against us throughout this job but we have managed to complete the job safely.
Firstly we got the scaffold edge protection and access erected to allow us to work safely.
We started off by sweeping the roof of debris and water to allow us to prime the roof area which allows for better adhesion. The specification was to keep the old membrane on and remove any existing blisters. This was so help with any fire risk.
We then fitted new GRP trims to the edge of the building. Once fitted we then applied our 2mm torch on underlay felt which helped to get the roof watertight again. We then followed this with our 4.5mm black mineral torch on Capsheet. All edging details were also finished in the same material.
This roof is now covered by our standard 15 year written manufacturers guarantee.
